Canon 5D MarkII Wildlife test run in Kenya

Canon 5D MarkII Wildlife test run in Kenya – After finally bowing to the DSLR revolution i have to say i am hugely impressed so far. DSLRs are still a long way off replacing conventional professional cameras, but boy can they be useful! Although we had already shot several Viral’s on the cameras the gear was always dry hired in for the jobs, but seeing the ease of use and versatility of these cameras coupled with great lensing and raw picture quality we have finally taken the plunge and bought ourselves a rig.

The 1st real test of this was on a recent trip to Kenya where with a VERY basic kit i put the camera through its paces. Armed with 1 lens (24-105) and a tripod and a mono pod we hit the Masai Mara during the great migration to see what we could get. It was a project in what i would call holiday film making but over all i was hugely impressed with the results. The video below was shot over 4 days in the bush.
